Introducing Data Matching

Data matching allows you to leverage data you already have on your customers to send personalized messages. For example, you can match a customer to their VIN, which can be useful for creating a group for an Instant Marketing Campaign.

Manually Matching a Value and a Customer

You can manually match customers with values. You can do this in case a customer and a value were previously unmatched or if a value didn’t have a matching customer.

  1. Select the Campaigns tab.
  2. Select the Data matching sub-tab.
  3. Click on the list where you wish to match a value and a customer manually.
  4. Select Match next to the value you want to match to a customer.
  5. Enter the name of the customer you wish to match with your value.
  6. Select Match customer.

Getting Multiple Matches With Your Customers

After a match, you might have multiple matches on your list.

This happens when your values match more than one customer. For example, if a vehicle was sold or transferred to a new customer, it may be associated with more than one customer.

You can then unmatch the customers who no longer fit with your value.

  1. Select the filter Multiples.
  2. Unmatch the customer who no longer fits with your value.

Unmatching Values and Customers

In a data-matched list, you can always unmatch values from a customer. For example, if a customer changes their vehicle, they may no longer need to be on that list.

  1. Select the Campaigns tab.
  2. Select the Data matching sub-tab.
  3. Select the list where you wish to unmatch a value and a customer.
  4. By going over your customer's name with your mouse, an Unmatch button will appear on the right of your customer's name.
  5. Select Unmatch.

You can always rematch the customer or match a value to a new customer.

Rematching a Value and a Customer

If you unmatch a value and a customer, you can always rematch them.

In fact, after unmatching a customer with a value, Kimoby will leave them together until you match the value with a new customer or rematch the value and the customer.

  1. Select the Campaigns tab.
  2. Select the Data matching sub-tab.
  3. Select the list where you wish to rematch a value and a customer.
  4. Next to the unmatched customer, select Rematch
